Stay Storm Safe

Message from the President:

We are committed to providing a stable environment for all of our members. Our approach to the catastrophic events caused by named storms Harvey and Irma, and the wildfires passing through the Diocese of Santa Rosa, have been comprehensive in nature.

Bishop Bevard, from the Diocese of St. Thomas, generously provided the hospitality for the Catholic Mutual Group’s CAT responders. During their deployment, they traveled with CEO Warren Bush to 17 different diocesan properties consisting of over 70 building inspections and spanning three islands within the Diocese. They have since returned to the home office to continue to support and assist them while they work to restore their diocese.

The Diocese of Santa Rosa has been greatly impacted by the most catastrophic wildfires in California history. The road to recovery for the two most affected locations in the diocese, Cardinal Newman HS and St. Rose School, will be long. In addition to the diocese we also have a religious order, Ursuline Western Providence and they too endured significant damage. The diocese has located temporary facilities to resume school, providing the students a much needed sense of normalcy. Catholic Mutual Group was present to conduct on-site inspections. Together with representatives of the Diocese and the Facility Director, they were able to arrange debris removal and conduct smoke cleaning to restore the schools to their full functionality. Tammy Brinkerhoff, our Regional Manager located in San Bernardino, continues to handle those claims with the support of the Home Office General Adjuster.

Catholic Mutual Group will continue to be proactive during the recovery of these events by providing our members with resources and empowering them with a sense of security. We offer our prayers and strength for all those who continue to recover from these events.

All claims can be directed to (800)228-6108 or reportaclaim@catholicmutual.org.
